Joell Ortiz Emcee Veteran Describes His Music Career, Venting in 2nd Single 'In My Feelings'


   Joell Ortiz is one of the most well-known rappers in Hip Hop. With nearly two decades in the game, his career has spanned across the game with collaborations with everyone from Eminem to Dr. Dre, Joell Ortiz has witnessed all aspects of the rap game come and go.

   Joell talks about his time as a part of Slaughterhouse, his new album "Autograph" , Joell talks about his low points during his come up time. Ortiz's career in Hip Hop has spanned nearly over two decades, starting back in the late 1990s. He has seen the game change over the years and now has released his latest album "Autograph."

   Back in 2004, Joell Ortiz joined forces with Royce da 5'9" and Joe Budden to form Slaughterhouse. The group's first album was released in 2009 on Eminem's Shady Records label. Joell also spent time as an artist on Dr. Dre's Aftermath Entertainment label. Ortiz looks back on his early career fondly, commenting on how rewarding it was to be part of such a big moment for Hip Hop during this era. "Autograph" is his first solo release in over six years. It's out now on iTunes and Spotify.

   The album features production from Grammy Nominee Salaam Remi, the Grammy winning Heatmakerz, Hesami, and Detroit Legend Apollo Brown, along with features from Sheek Louch, Marc scibilia, kxng crooked, Pastor LBS, and Cyhi the Prynce.    In press release: "my creative process is pretty simple. I write to the music that moves me and speaks my truth. That's never wavered. Once I feel like I got all my thoughts wrote out, I put the pen down and listen to everything in it's eternity. That's usually where I figure out things like title and artwork." .Rap artist Joell adds; “after listening to this body of work, I realized that I shared a lot of personal feelings, stories, and ideas. Everything is authentic. This is signature me. Hence, the title. Ortiz has been in the rap game for many years and has experienced it all. From his time in Slaughterhouse to his new album, he's had a lot of experience with the rap industry.
